Den fast schon bulimisch dünnen Sound könnte man mit Mühe noch als “Oldschool-/Underground-Charme” betiteln und überhören – dass keiner der Musiker sein Instrument spielen kann, aber nicht. Ganz ehrlich – als Demo und erstes Lebenszeichen würde “IX” noch ganz gut durchgehen. Der Power/Heavy Metal der fünf Briten ist für Genreliebhaber an sich kein schlechtes Ding, und vor allem der Sänger hat seine Stimme meist im Griff, auch wenn er da, trotz schöner Klangfarbe, auf einen einzigen Ausdruck limitiert zu sein scheint. Hier handelt es sich aber leider nicht um ein “Hallo, hier sind wir”-Werk, sondern um die zweite Langrille, denen vier (!) Demos vorangingen. Angesichts dieser Umstände ist “IX” absolut unverzeihlich. Die Band sollte sich lieber darauf konzentrieren, ihre Instrumente zu lernen, als die Welt mit ihren Veröffentlichungen zu belästigen. Das klingt hart, muss anno 2013, wo eine großartige Jungspundband nach der anderen aus dem Nichts kommt, einfach so gesagt werden. Einfallsloses Riffing, durchgehend schiefe Töne bei den Soli und ein Drummer, der seinen Beat keine zwei Takte halten kann. Weg damit!
