Steve releases the his solo EP, Facilis Descensus Averno, which is out now on all digital retailers and streaming services (Spotify, Amazon, iTunes, etc…)
The EP acts as a prelude to Steve’s upcoming debut album, Back in Hell, that has been postponed until early next year after Steve suffered an injury to both his wrists working on the project, which has been taking longer to heal than expected.
Facilis Descensus Averno, roughly translated to the descent to hell/the underworld is easy, which was named as reference to both the album and to the frustration of the injury.
The track list is comprised of the best 4 songs of the original 6 recordings for the album, to which these versions are now referenced as the first pass versions and gives a look to what’s in store for the album where all songs will be rerecorded with some new gear which should improve the clarity and quality of the performances.
If you like what you hear of the EP, then Steve would be delighted if you could pre-order Back in Hell on bandcamp, which has already garnered a great response of sales since it was announced back in August. Anyone that pre-orders the album will have their names included in the CD booklet as a thank you for the support and the Facilis Descensus Averno EP will also be included as a bonus.
