Esta banda inglesa foi fundada pelo guitarrista Steve Blower, em 2004, e tem como proposta misturar as raízes do metal do inicio dos anos 80, com diferentes aspectos do metal. Para isto Steve conta com Chris Moules (vocal), Joe Wilson (guitarra), Andy Firth (baixo) e Darren Kelsall (bateria).

Into The War trás músicas que serão usadas no primeiro disco do grupo previsto para ser lançado em 2011, um segundo EP chamado The Lycan foi lançado com a mesma finalidade em 2010.

O EP tem cinco composições, a gravação não é das melhores, falta corpo na bateria, tem um som seco, sem muitos graves, a guitarra é voltada para o timbre do thrash metal e o vocal mesclando beirar o gutural e outras músicas mais para o hard. Não sei se meu nível de exigência está muito exagerado ou se estou ficando velho mesmo, o fato é que falta muita coisa na estrada do Hamerex.

“Screams And Pain” tem base manjada, mas ainda não é de todo ruim, “Echoes Of Hatred” tenta misturar melodia de guitarra com doom metal, “Desert Skies” já cai mais para o lado do hard rock, sem muita inspiração. Bom… creio que até escrevi demais para um EP que não acrescentou muita coisa.
