Hamerex To Go On Hiatus

After a month of heavy consideration, Steve and Andy have decided to put the band on an indefinite hiatus.

Following the departures of half of the previous line-up, both Steve and Andy have discussed at length the future of Hamerex, with both deciding to put the band on hold for the foreseeable future.

The decision wasn’t made lightly with Steve posting an emotional video on the Hamerex Youtube channel which you can find below.

The upcoming fan voted best of album is in direct response to the decision being made and will be fully detailed at a later date.

All websites will remain live with the band’s bandcamp store still taking merchandise orders for the foreseeable future with updates to Hamerex.com and social media all being made in the short term to make sure everything is up to date. The fan club will also remain for current members to renew and fans to subscribe to get their hands on 18 digital releases, 13 of which are club exclusive with the remaining 5 being the main discography.

Wow Steve. That must have been really tough to do. Naturally, like you, I’m gutted that you’re putting the band on hiatus. I’m hoping it’s exactly that and not the end. The bands music is to good to simply just to be left to the history pages. Fingers crossed for the future when hopefully you’ll come back stronger. I’ll certainly be waiting for that occasion that’s for sure \m/
I can only wish you all the best in the short term and catch up with you at a gig or festival from time to time but if I’m ever in Wakey then I’ll give you a shout and we can share a couple of cold ones.
Until then, chin up, and keep a PMA – Positive Mental Attitude !!
All the best my friend. Keep on rockin’ Nick \m/

Thanks Nick. Yeah, it was really tough but I’m hoping we can come back some day. I love the band and the music still, just having a tough time wanting to get back in to it. Hopefully will get to catch up again sometime before too long.

Much love Steve. Sorry to hear this. Sometimes it is good to let it sleep. Recharge the batteries and see things clear again. I did the same a few years back. But now I have a clear vision. You will too. Take care mate. Speak soon all our love.

Thanks Naff, it’s hard and been mixed with a lot of different emotions since the beginning of June but been fairly deflated and it’s yet to subside. I hope so mate, and thanks for the support.
